Four female leaders and professionals from Ebdaa Microfinance Company have been named in the prestigious WOMANi 2026 report, published by international financial research firm Cambridge IFA.
The report celebrates the top 500 women making significant contributions across business, Islamic finance, and the halal economy.
Ebdaa chairperson Mona Almoayyed was selected in the ‘WOMANi Distinctia’ category, which honors exceptional leaders dedicated to building sustainable, development-focussed institutions.
The firm’s senior credit officer Fatima Kamal and acting compliance, risk, and AML reporting officer Hanaa Salman were named in the ‘WOMANi Significancia’ category for their extensive careers and achievements in banking and finance.
Meanwhile, senior manager of training and development Afnan Saqr was featured in the ‘WOMANi Academica’ category, recognising her efforts in designing capacity-building programmes that boost workforce skills and service quality.
Commenting on the achievements, Ebdaa acting CEO Prof Badr El Din Ibrahim said: “We are immensely proud to see our female leaders recognised on an international stage. Their inclusion highlights the caliber of Bahraini talent and underscores the crucial roles women play across leadership, risk management, compliance, and professional development.”
He added that the recognition reflects Ebdaa’s commitment to fostering a merit-based environment where specialist knowledge and strong leadership drive institutional progress.
The annual WOMANi report uses market intelligence, editorial analysis, and stakeholder feedback to identify influential women making a lasting impact in their respective fields.
