An Egyptian man has been arrested in Sohag after a viral video showed him dropping animal dung from a balcony onto two girls sitting below.
The Interior Ministry confirmed on Tuesday that the suspect was taken into custody following widespread outrage on social media.
During questioning, the man admitted to the act, stating he did it for fun and to gain views online.
He remains in custody as investigations into the incident continue.
