Thousands gathered at Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam (BKS) in Segaya yesterday for the group’s mega Onam feast.
The event began with the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, attended by prominent Bahrain-based Indian entrepreneur Dr Ravi Pillai and other invited guests.
Celebrated Chef Pazhayidam Mohanan Namboothiri from Kerala, India, who supervised preparations for the feast on Thursday, was also present.
Members enjoyed a traditional sadhya featuring 28 dishes, including four varieties of payasam (dessert).
The sadhya marked the culmination of Sraavanam 2026, BKS’s two-month-long celebration of Onam, the popular harvest festival associated with the legendary annual return of King Mahabali to Kerala.
