Ministries and public entities have been urged to stay within their approved budgets and rein in excess spending, after a Shura Council review found expenditure exceeded allocations by hundreds of millions of dinars in 2024.The Education Ministry, Interior Ministry and King Hamad University Hospital were among the bodies that exceeded their approved recurring expenditure budgets, according to a report by the Shura Council’s Financial and Economic Affairs Committee .
