HANDBALL – BELARUS’ senior men’s handball national team arrived in the kingdom last night ahead of their international friendly matches in the coming days against hosts Bahrain. The visitors were welcomed upon reaching Bahrain International Airport by Bahrain Handball Federation (BHF) national teams’ director Ismael Baqer.
The tune-ups are set to be played as part of the handball season’s international break. The first clash is scheduled for tomorrow and then the two teams face off once again on Saturday at the BHF Arena in Um Al Hassam Sports Complex.
The kingdom’s squad, coached by Robert Hedin from Sweden, are gearing up for their upcoming competitions, headlined by the 30th IHF Men’s Handball World Championship, to be held in January of 2027 across six host cities in Germany.
