Tenants in Bahrain could be spared the worry of suddenly finding themselves without electricity or water simply because their rental contracts have expired under a new digital initiative being developed by the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA).
The EWA is working with the Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Ministry to establish an electronic link for exchanging rental agreement information, in a move aimed at improving services, protecting landlords’ and tenants’ rights and making government processes more efficient .
