Bahrain is turning classrooms, television programmes and heritage festivals into platforms for preserving Gulf identity, with the government saying that efforts to protect shared traditions and values are already reflected in its education and media policies.The issue will come before Parliament on Tuesday, when MPs debate the government’s response to a proposal calling for measures to safeguard Gulf identity .
