Saudi Royal Air Force pilot Lt-Col Mehanna bin Saad Al Beez was killed in a plane crash in Yemen's Abyan region, according to Akhbaar24.
The officer was taking part in an operation targeting the terrorist Al Qaeda group when his plane suffered a technical failure last night, said the Saudi-led Arab Alliance in support of Legitimacy in Yemen.
The alliance's official spokesperson Staff Colonel Turki Al Malki extended condolences to the deceased officer’s bereaved family.
