Manama: His Majesty King Hamad will today open the second session of the fourth legislative term of parliament and Shura Council.
Political, economic and social issues will top the agenda of the National Assembly.
The new session will convene amid rapidly-unfolding regional developments and their impacts on its countries, continuous Iranian interference in Bahrain’s domestic affairs and the increasing number of sabotage and terrorist acts aimed at citizens and subverting the kingdom’s stability.
It also comes days after a recent Cabinet reshuffle, the merger of some government departments in a bid to reduce expenditure, and efforts to deal with the oil price fall.
