Chief brand officer of WWE and on-screen commissioner of 'Monday Night Raw' Stephanie McMahon announced that for the first time in history an all-female Royal Rumble match will take place at the 'Royal Rumble' Pay Per View on Sunday (Monday morning in the GCC), January 28, 2018, at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia Pennsylvania.
This is a huge step for the Women's Division as the female Superstars continue to break ground. Earlier this year the women of 'Smackdown Live' competed in the first-ever women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match, while 'Raw' superstars Sasha Banks and Charollete Flair competed in the first-ever women's Hell in a Cell match in October of last year.
