Bahrain: A new car company has been launched at Motorcity in Sanad yesterday.
BAIC, a Chinese car company, make cars targeted at entry-level consumers.
The brand’s A1 hatchback and A1 sedan were unveiled, which offer an efficient performance with 1.5-litre DOHC engine delivering a power output of 113 HP with MIVEC variable valve timing technology, mated with a four-speed automatic transmission.
The BAIC A1 range features all the safety aspects expected these days on passenger cars which include, as standard, anti-lock braking system, electronic brake force distribution, brake override system, electronic power control and driver’s airbag.
Starting prices are set at BD2,950 for the A1 range, with instalments at BD48 per month.
This includes a five-year, 100,000km warranty coverage which is an additional reassurance of product reliability and quality.
