The motion by five MPs, led by Hanan Fardan, was approved during yesterday’s session and referred to the Cabinet for review.
The proposal urges the government to conduct an immediate assessment of endowments facing ambiguity in their legal status, identify administrative and regulatory shortcomings, and develop clear mechanisms to protect their religious, social and charitable purposes .
