MANAMA: Garmco, a Bahrain-based international aluminum rolling mill, yesterday announced the appointment of a new executive management team.
The new general manager is Mohammed Essa, with Taj Mohamed Shaikh as the new executive manager for finance, Ebrahim Khalil as the new executive manager for operations and Mohamed Alrafaei executive manager for sales and marketing.
Speaking on behalf of the board of directors, Garmco vice-chairman Jawad Al Qallaf said, “We are proud to have appointed top qualified Bahraini executives who have shown leadership skills to guide the organisation forward. The appointments are in line with the company’s sustainability strategy and is expected to drive the growth of Garmco.”
Mr Essa has more than 30 years of experience in the company.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Pune, a high national diploma from Sheffield Hallam University and master’s degree from Bahrain.
Mr Shaikh has more than 11 years of experience in Garmco, with a degree in financial accounting and audit from the University of Bombay and advanced diploma in business administration from Welingkar Institute of Management.
Mr Ebrahim has more than 27 years of experience in the company.
He has a Master’s degree in business administration as well as a Bachelor’s degree and an associated diploma in mechanical engineering.
Mr Alrafaei has more than 20 years of work experience in Garmco, with a Master’s degree in business administration and a Bachelor’s degree in metallurgy and material science engineering from the University of Bahrain.
