Tunisian star Dhafer L'Abidine will be presenting the 90th Academy Awards which will be held tomorrow at Dolby Theatre in the United States of America.
The encrypted OSN channel will be airing the Academy Awards exclusively in the Middle East.
The entertainment network, OSN, has partnered with Dhafer L’Abidine, who will be the face of OSN’s new marketing campaign reinforcing the power of stories under the theme “Stories that bring us together".
The Tunisian actor will be presenting the Oscar distribution ceremony live on OSN as part of the marketing campaign.
Two films from the Arab world were nominated for an Academy Award- The Insult, a Lebanese story about an argument between a Christian mechanic and a Palestinian refugee, in the category of Best Foreign Language Film; while Last Men in Aleppo was chosen to represent Syria in the Best Documentary Feature competition.
Both movies deal with history and war but they also made history being the first winners of an Oscar nomination for their countries.
