Dhahran: His Majesty King Hamad delivered a keynote speech at the 29th Arab Summit, dubbed “Al-Quds Summit”.
He hailed the courageous and supportive Arab stances while condemning foreign interference in Bahrain’s sovereign internal affairs.
His Majesty underlined the kingdom’s determination to thwart all attempts to encroach on Bahrain’s internal affairs.
He stressed the importance of pan-Arab co-operation to protect Arab countries’ security and stability and stave off external interference in the internal affairs of Arab countries.
King Hamad urged a strong stance to protect Arab interests and restore Arab peoples’ security and stability.
He expressed confidence that the Saudi presidency of the 29th Arab summit in this important phase would strengthen Arab security.
He also reiterated Bahrain’s unwavering support to the Palestinian people, backing its inalienable right to establish a viable, independent and sovereign state, within boundaries dating back to June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Earlier, King Hamad was welcomed on arrival by the Saudi King who expressed appreciation of His Majesty's answering the invitation and attending the Arab Summit.
