The fifth edition of the Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS 2018) was officially opened at the Sakhir Airbase.
The three-day show held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad was opened by Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Personal Representative of His Majesty The King and Chairman of BIAS Supreme Organising Committee.
The show will feature an exhibition, conferences, meetings and flying displays by air forces and aerobatic teams from around the world.
Military jets on display at the show include the F-35, F-16 & the Typhoon, whereas commercial aircraft include Boeing 737-800, B787-900 and the Airbus A320 neo.
Attending the opening ceremony were government ministers, legislators, diplomats, and foreign officials.

9.30AM: Bahrain’s skies will witness spectacular flying displays by air forces and aerobatic teams from around the world as the Bahrain International Airshow 2018 begins today.
The three-day show will be held at Sakhir Air Base under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad with 11 of the world’s top 15 aerospace companies exhibiting and more than 100 aircraft on flying or static display.
