A LONG-TERM Bahrain resident is leaving with fond memories after spending almost four decades in the kingdom.
Gopal Reddy, 66, a civil engineer and a prominent Telugu community leader is set to return to his hometown of Hyderabad, India, after living in Bahrain for 37 years.
He will be leaving with his wife Parvathi Devi on February 29.
Mr Reddy retired from the Electricity and Water Authority after his final phase of 10 years of employment.

He was involved with the Telugu Kala Samithi since its inception in 1990 and served as its president for three terms.
He was a member of the Indian School executive committee in the capacity of secretary for three years.
He was also involved with Co-ordination Committee of Indian Associations and other Indian associations.
The couple has three daughters – Jagathi Deepthi, Mahathi Preethi and Nirathi Keerthi – all married and settled outside Bahrain.
