His Majesty King Hamad’s adviser for diplomatic affairs Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa received outgoing GDN Editor-in-Chief George Williams and hailed his efforts “which have contributed hugely to enhancing the quality of Press work in Bahrain”.
He is retiring after 42 years in the country.
Shaikh Khalid praised Mr Williams’ competence, experience and professionalism in developing the important newspaper media sector, wishing him success in his future assignments.
He praised the GDN’s role in serving national issues and highlighting Bahrain’s development and achievements at all levels, and recording regional and global events.
Mr Williams thanked Shaikh Khalid for his warm welcome, praise and support.
