I AM so disappointed at what’s happening in India, and extend my sympathy to the affected people.
Right now, the spike in Covid-19 cases in India is a mirror for everyone. I can’t imagine the pain and it has troubled my mind.
Let us keep co-operating to combat this pandemic. Let us observe precautionary measures at all times. The government is urging all citizens and residents to get vaccinated.
As far as I have observed, 20 per cent of residents in Bahrain are on visit visas but have been in Bahrain for about a decade. They renew their visit visas regularly, exiting to Dubai or Oman for another three months’ period of stay.
I think the government should find a way to let such individuals get vaccinated. There are also a number of undocumented workers roaming around and not vaccinated. What if they are the carrier of the virus, and keep transmitting from person to person.
However, this difficult time too shall pass.
