He thanked the strategic planning and projects directorate and quality control for their efforts in helping to secure ISO 9001 certification in Quality Management Systems and ISO 20000 certification in Information Technology Service Management, and for enabling 24 employees to complete Quality Management Systems Foundation Training.
During a meeting held via video conference, Mr Al Qaed lauded the innovation and creativity of the iGA teams who helped make this achievement possible, and allowed for the establishment of quality systems, and for the introduction of high quality eServices for citizens and residents.
During the virtual meeting he praised the cooperation between the iGA and Bureau Veritas, which carried out an external evaluation and international accreditation of the iGA’s quality management system and provided the necessary support.
Mr Al Qaed said that the ISO certifications support the authority’s efforts to offer the public digital services and apps via multiple channels in accordance with the highest quality standards.
He noted the role of ISO systems in determining basic organisational requirements, and the steps to be taken to achieve customer satisfaction. They also allow organisations to better identify areas for improvement in quality and IT systems.
