A 28-YEAR-OLD expatriate man who tested positive for Covid-19 was found to have infected 12 of his colleagues.
The men were living in four different accommodations.
This was revealed by the Health Ministry as part of its contact tracing highlights for the week from August 5 to 11.
The average number of daily new cases rose to 119 per day from 110 the prior week.
Meanwhile, a 39-year-old female expatriate infected nine others, including her colleagues, their spouses and children, living across six different accommodations.

A 57-year-old female citizen who tested positive through random screening revealed eight positive cases across two households. They were family related and include the index case’s daughter, son, son-in-law and granddaughters.
A 39-year-old Bahraini man, who also tested positive through random screening, was found to have infected his wife and five children.
A total of 834 infections were registered last week – of which 715 were local cases and 119 travel-related. Of these, 516 were Bahrainis and 318 expatriates.
A total of 172 individuals tested positive after developing symptoms, 117 after completing quarantine and 234 during random screening.
