The ICRF also provided around 90 workers, yesterday, with lunch boxes as well as reusable facemasks, anti-bacterial soaps and flyers about staying safe during the pandemic alongside mental health advice.
The event, which was set to mark the celebration of India’s 75th Independence Day yesterday, was attended by Indian Ambassador Piyush Srivastava, Labour and Social Development Ministry assistant under-secretary for labour affairs Ahmed Al Hayki, the ministry’s safety and guidance head Hussain Al Hussaini, Indian Embassy second secretary Ravishankar Shukla, ICRF’s chairman Dr Babu Ramachandran and Thirst Quenchers co-ordinator Sudhir Thirunilath, along with other dignitaries and volunteers.
