AN Indian couple has left Bahrain after spending more than four decades in the kingdom.
Ramanathan Seturaman and wife Usha have returned to Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
Mr Seturaman, 78, arrived in Bahrain in 1976 and worked initially as the group chief accountant with the Oriental Group before taking over as financial controller at the Ibn Khuldoon National School until 1993.
Ms Seturaman, 71, joined her husband along with their two sons in 1978.
She is a trained Carnatic classical music artist and has performed in musical concerts both in Chennai and Bahrain besides releasing several recordings of devotional music.
The couple had a long-standing relationship with the Chinmaya Society and Sai Group, among others, during their stay in Bahrain.
Sons Balajee and Bharath are both alumni of the Indian School Bahrain.
