Bahrain’s Permanent Representative to the UN Jamal Faris Al Ruwaie took part in the celebration of the first anniversary of the signing of the peace agreements with Israel.
UAE’s Permanent Representative Lana Nusseibeh, Morocco’s Permanent Representative Omar Hilale and Israel’s Permanent Representative Gilad Erdan also took part, in the presence of US Permanent Representative Linda Thomas-Greenfield.
Mr Al Ruwaie highlighted Bahrain’s approach, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, of promoting peace in the region based on the values of coexistence, mutual respect and true co-operation.
He praised the remarkable progress in bilateral relations between Bahrain and Israel, pointing to the signing of several MoUs in various fields.
