Police patrols will be stepped up across the country to ensure the smooth flow of traffic as part of the 50th National Day celebrations.
General Directorate of Traffic director general Brigadier Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Abdulwahab Al Khalifa urged members of the public to adhere to all traffic rules.
He said that relevant measures were being taken to cover the key highways and intersections likely to witness heavy traffic flows as a result of activities planned.

“Motorists are urged to follow traffic rules to ensure the safety for all and avoid wrong behaviours, such as overtaking a vehicle from the wrong side, sitting on a car roof and driving noisy vehicles in residential areas,” stated the official.
He further urged drivers to show courtesy and ensure the safety of pedestrians.
