Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Minister Wael Al Mubarak received Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) Subregional Office Co-ordinator for the GCC countries and Yemen Dr Ahmed Mukhtar who is also FAO representative in the UAE.
Mr Al Mubarak affirmed the ministry’s commitment to developing the agricultural sector, supporting farmers, promoting modern technologies and sustainable agricultural practices, and exchanging expertise with international organisations and countries.
He highlighted the importance of continued co-operation with FAO and benefiting from its expertise and specialised programmes.
Dr Mukhtar affirmed FAO’s commitment to continued co-operation with the kingdom in the agricultural and food sectors and praised the kingdom’s efforts to develop agriculture and increase local production. Above, the minister with Dr Mukhtar.
