Bahrain’s youngest star of the small screen Ali Mohammed Abdulaal has made his acting debut in a national advertising campaign.
The blue-eyed two-month-old baby was accompanied by his ‘momager’ Zahra Faisal Rathi and according to the production crew was a ‘natural’ and kept his composure throughout the shoot.
Discovered and scouted by Bayan Abuhasanein of Bmedia production company, young Ali appears in a promotional video for a health app which took place last week at the Mohammed Bin Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa Specialist Cardiac Centre.
“Ali is the child of my friend’s cousin and is such a beautiful baby. I knew he would be ideal for the part,” added producer Ms Abuhasanein.
Proud parents, Zahra and Mohammed, from Manama, were delighted with their child’s performance. “Our son really seemed to enjoy being in the spotlight … maybe this could be the start of a Hollywood career although we just want him to grow up safe, confident and happy whatever career he chooses in the future,” mum added.
Soundly sleeping through his opening scene, his on-screen father, actor Ahmed Sami Nassimi, did most of the heavy lifting and carried him around the set. “It was one hell of a bicep workout!” he said.
