flydubai will resume flights between Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Skopje International Airport (SKP) from 1 April 2027, restoring a direct link between Dubai and North Macedonia’s capital.
The airline will
operate three weekly flights, offering Business Class and Economy Class
services.
The move forms part of
flydubai’s strategy to expand connectivity with underserved markets and
strengthen Dubai’s position as a global aviation hub.
Through its codeshare
partnership with Emirates, passengers travelling from Skopje will benefit from
seamless connections via Dubai’s Terminal 3 to destinations across both
airlines’ networks, with a single booking and through-checked baggage.
Connecting
destinations include Australia, Shanghai and Singapore through Emirates, as
well as popular flydubai destinations such as Bangkok, Colombo and Zanzibar.
Ghaith Al Ghaith,
Chief Executive Officer at flydubai, said: “Connectivity is a key part of
Dubai’s success as a global aviation hub. By linking markets that have limited
direct air services with Dubai, At flydubai, we have always believed that
connectivity unlocks opportunities for tourism, trade and cultural exchange.
Over the years, we have connected many cities that previously had limited
direct links to Dubai and the wider world. The return of Skopje reflects that
continued commitment.”
Jeyhun Efendi,
Divisional Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations and E-commerce at
flydubai, said: “Europe continues to be an important part of our network
strategy. The resumption of flights to Skopje gives our customers greater
choice and flexibility, while providing an attractive one-stop travel option
for leisure travellers, business travellers and the Macedonian diaspora from
Australia and Asia. Our operations will commence with a three-weekly service
and we are confident that demand will grow as more customers take advantage of
the attractive Dubai stopover offering while connecting beyond the city.” -TradeArabia News Service
