An evening of Urdu poetry was held at the Cultural Hall last night.
The Mushaira Urdu Poetry organised by the Pakistan Embassy and Al Saqafa – the Pakistan Association – was part of the Spring of Culture Festival.
The event featured a number of distinguished poets from Pakistan and the Gulf, including Bahrain.
A book of poems in Urdu, The World of Emkan, was launched on the occasion by poet Ahmed Adil.
The 16th edition of the festival, organised by the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, runs until March 31.
It will showcase a global range of artistic and musical talent alongside lectures and art exhibitions.
