MANAMA: Isa Cultural Centre executive director and board vice chairman Dr Shaikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa inaugurated an exhibition of historical manuscripts and rare titles of different genres that belonged to the late Amin Mohammad Al Amer donated by his family to the centre.
The exhibition features 15 rare books and four valuable and historical manuscripts dating back to as early as 1553.
“This is a very important interaction between the national library and society of Bahrain,” Dr Shaikh Khalid said. Amin Mohammed Al Amer was born in 1950 in Manama.
He grew up to be a passionate reader and book collector of various genres and subjects such as sociology, religion, literature and many more.
