VICE-PRESIDENT of the Bahrain Football Association (BFA) Ali Al Buanain has announced the full coaching staff for the national team that will work with the recently appointed Czech coach, Miroslav Soukup.
Soukup, 50, took charge of the national team last week after meeting with the BFA president Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and board members.
Al Buanain confirmed that the BFA appointed Bahraini coach Adnan Ebrahim as Soukup’s assistant manager in the coming period.
Jerry Reeba was announced as the fitness coach while Andrej Kostolansky will take up the goalkeeper’s coaching role.
The coaching staff also includes Mahmoud Fakhro as the player’s analyst and Khalil Shweiar as the supervisor.
Al Buanain stressed that the decision to hire the coaches came after various studies and talks with Soukup who is currently in charge of the national team to make sure Bahrain get through the qualification stages of the 2019 Asia Cup which will start next March, and the Gulf Cup which takes place in Qatar in December 2017.
He also said the association has put a lot of trust in Soukup as they hope he can develop Bahrain’s football and get positive results in his upcoming matches.
