The Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, received the outgoing Chinese Ambassador Ni Ruchi, at Riffa Palace.
The ambassador conveyed the greetings of China President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang to His Majesty King Hamad and HRH the Deputy King.
In turn, HRH the Deputy King conveyed his and the King’s greetings to Xi and Li.
He highlighted the longstanding relationship between Bahrain and China, stressing its steady growth across sectors and the importance of advancing co-operation to achieve mutual aspirations.
During the meeting, issues of common interest, as well as the latest regional and international developments, were discussed.
For his part, the outgoing Chinese Ambassador expressed his gratitude for HRH the Deputy King’s commitment to advancing bilateral relations and wished the kingdom continued progress and prosperity.
Prime Minister’s Court Minister Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and several senior officials also attended the meeting.
