HORSERACING – BAHRAIN’S Royal Endurance Team rider Jaber Bader Jaafar won the 120.6-kilometre junior and young riders’ endurance race, held as part of the Portugal International Endurance Rides.
In the 120.6-kilometre open race, Royal Endurance Team member Loai Tariq Ahmed finished as runner-up while UAE rider Hazzaa Mohammed Al Sayegh clinched first place. Portuguese rider Maria Prazeres finished third. Royal Stables and Royal Endurance Team director general Dr Khalid Ahmed Hassan commended the riders for their results, noting that they reflect the efforts made by the team in recent months and their commitment to implementing the approved programme.
Dr Hassan said the Royal Endurance Team had achieved several of their objectives through their participation, foremost of which were completing the programmes for their riders and horses and enhancing their readiness for upcoming competitions, while gaining further experience through the international rides.
Dr Hassan added that the results achieved by the team’s riders would encourage them to maintain their efforts in the coming period, in line with the Royal Endurance Team’s confirmed programme, wishing them continued success in future competitions.
