HORSERACING – RASHID Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC) announced yesterday the renewal of its partnership with leading international alternative investment firm Investcorp through a three-season sponsorship agreement, under which Investcorp will become a gold partner.
The agreement reflects the strength of the relationship between the two sides and their shared commitment to supporting equestrian sport and horseracing.
The partnership builds on the long-standing relationship between Investcorp and the kingdom, which dates back to the firm’s establishment in 1982.
It also reflects Investcorp’s continued commitment to supporting institutions and initiatives that contribute to enhancing Bahrain’s standing and showcasing its heritage and ambitions on the international stage.
The agreement was signed by REHC High Committee member and REHC acting CEO Yusuf Buheji and Investcorp distribution global head Yusef Al Yusef.
On this occasion, Buheji welcomed the renewal of the partnership with Investcorp for the next three seasons and its elevation to gold partner status, stressing the importance of strategic partnerships with leading national and international institutions in supporting the club’s development and strengthening its international presence.
He praised Investcorp’s commitment to the partnership, which plays an important role in supporting the sports sector.
He also affirmed that REHC is working continuously to create an ideal environment that enhances the attractiveness of investment in horseracing and contributes to achieving the desired development objectives.
Buheji underscored the special significance of the 2026-27 horseracing season for REHC, as it coincides with the 50th anniversary of the club’s establishment.
He explained that the partnership includes Investcorp’s sponsorship of the club’s international programme.
For his part, Al Yusef highlighted the international successes achieved by REHC and its continued development, which has contributed to strengthening the kingdom’s position on the international horseracing map.
He emphasised that Bahrain is an integral part of Investcorp’s identity and journey, and expressed his pleasure at the elevation of Investcorp’s partnership with REHC to gold partner status, coinciding with the club’s Golden Jubilee.
Al Yusef noted that REHC represents the kingdom’s rich equestrian and horseracing heritage, while also reflecting its growing ambition to strengthen its presence on the international sporting stage.
He affirmed Investcorp’s commitment, through this three-season partnership, to continuing its support for the club’s development and international programme, as well as contributing to strengthening Bahrain’s position as a leading destination for sport, business, and international engagement.
