Authorities dispersed an illegal gathering yesterday at Bahrain Bay, where hundreds of Asians were allegedly taking part in a traditional sport.
The action was initiated after a video of the incident was circulated online.
“The Capital Governorate Police Directorate dispersed an illegal gathering of Asians who were practising a traditional sport in the Bahrain Bay area,” the ministry said in a tweet last night. “Legal procedures have been taken to refer the incident to the Public Prosecution.”
