BAHRAIN has capabilities that make it the best gateway for Russia to promote its products to the Gulf and beyond, says the country’s main business organisation.
Bahrain Chamber chairman Sameer Nass called on Russian business owners and investors to take advantage of opportunities in the promising sectors in the kingdom, such as tourism, to establish more partnerships that serve the economies of the two countries.
During a meeting with Russian Ambassador Igor Kremnev yesterday, he noted the keenness of Bahrain’s business community to explore opportunities with its Russian counterparts.
Mr Nass commended the advanced level of bilateral and economic relations and their impact on promoting trade, investment and partnerships.
He stressed Bahrain’s readiness to serve as a centre for the redistribution of Russian products in the GCC, Arab countries and North Africa, owing to its strategic location as an international commercial meeting point.
First Vice President Khaled Najibi stressed the strength and durability of the bilateral economic relations and the importance of strengthening them.
The meeting discussed recommendations to strengthen the volume of trade exchanges.
The ambassador commended the Chamber’s active role in empowering Bahrain’s private sector, and its efforts to develop economic partnership with Russia.
