Education Minister Dr Majid Al Nuaimi has endorsed the scholarships plan for the 2022-2023 academic year.
He affirmed the ministry’s keenness to continue offering scholarships and study grants to Bahraini high school graduates with a grade point average (GPA) of 90pc and above.
All outstanding Bahraini public and private school graduates will receive a scholarship or grant based on their cumulative grades, he added.
Dr Al Nuaimi said the scholarships plan is prepared annually in light of the needs of the local labour market.
The ministry called on students who wish to apply for this year’s scholarships and grants, to finalise their registration procedures on www.moe.gov.bh or www.bahrain.bh, from 8am today until Wednesday.
A student is not allowed to change his major once nominated for a particular scholarship. The final nomination for the scholarship is subject to meeting the conditions for admission to the university or college.
The ministry has allocated 2,955 scholarships in various specialisations for government and private school graduates, including 11 for religious institutes, 11 for advanced technical and vocational track ‘Commercial’, 51 for languages and humanities, 382 for commercial sciences, 1,962 for sciences and maths, 49 for advanced technical and vocational track and 489 for private school graduates.
