More than 100 workers developed essential knowledge and practical tools during a recent interactive financial awareness session.
It was organised at a labour camp in Ras Zuwaid by the Indian Community Welfare Association (ICWA), in co-operation with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India’s (ICAI) Bahrain chapter.
Workers from Nass Corporation also received training in effective personal financial management.
The camp focused on practical strategies that can be applied in everyday life, including budgeting, saving, debt management, investing, insurance and various savings and investment options available through their respective home countries.
Workers were also warned about fraudulent calls, loan sharks, scams, sharing of personal and financial information, and other potential financial risks.
The session was delivered by ICAI Bahrain chairperson Vinod Rathi, along with Kaushalendra Manglunia, Arun Kotwani and Anima Jagdish.
ICWA vice-chairman Pankaj Nallur and Nass Corporation occupational health specialist Reji Abraham extended their gratitude for the session.
