King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh has launched the first phase of its 'Silent Airport' project at Terminal 5, cutting public announcements to offer passengers a quieter travel experience.
General audio announcements have been reduced and will be largely limited to departure gates. Passengers are advised to check digital screens and electronic channels for flight updates.
The gradual transition aims to lower terminal noise while ensuring travellers continue to receive essential flight details.
Flight status updates are accessible via the King Khalid International Airport Website, digital signage, and its WhatsApp service on 920020090. The 'Ask Me' customer service team remains available on-site to assist.
