A MAN who was trapped in a burning house in Sanabis yesterday was rescued by alert Civil Defence officials.
Eleven others suffered minor injuries as fire engulfed the building early yesterday morning.
“As soon as the main operations room received a report of the incident, the rescue and fire teams of the General Directorate of Civil Defence and the National Ambulance were instructed to move to the site immediately,” the Interior Ministry said in a statement yesterday.
“A man who was trapped inside was rescued and the fire was controlled and extinguished. Eleven others suffered from smoke inhalation. The National Ambulance treated some of the injured while a few were taken to hospital.
“Probe is underway to ascertain the cause of the blaze,” the statement added.
