A five-member Asian gang has been jailed in Dubai for stealing a bag containing Dh455,000 (BD46,584) from a furniture store where three of them were employed.
The individuals were sentenced by the Dubai Criminal Court and two of them have been tried in absentia, Khaleej Times reported.
They have received up to six months in prison and a fine for the same amount that was stolen.
The bag, which was reported stolen in May 2021, belonged to the owner of the store located at a Chinese market in Dubai.
It also contained important documents, it was revealed.
All members of the gang will be deported after serving their sentences.
