BAHRAIN has introduced a new work permit card for expatriates. Skilled and eligible employees who wish to seek legal employment in the country can apply for this card at worker registration centres which will soon be set up.
The move is part of the government’s efforts to create a documented database of qualified and eligible workers. This was announced at a press conference earlier today by Labour Minister Jameel Humaidan, alongside Labour Market Regulatory Authority chief executive Nouf Jamsheer and Bahrain Chamber chairman Sameer Nass, at the Isa Cultral Centre.
