Landmarks in Manama were last night lit up in yellow and white to mark the historic visit of Pope Francis to Bahrain. Bahrain and The Holy See established official diplomatic ties in the year 2000. The gold (yellow) symbolises heavenly power while the silver (white) represents earthly power.
