MORE than 650 exhibitors from around 30 countries will be taking part in the Middle East’s largest jewellery and watch exhibition to be held in Bahrain tomorrow.
Jewellery Arabia 2022, now in its 30th edition, will be staged at the new Exhibition World Bahrain complex in Sakhir until Saturday.
It will be held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and showcase the world’s finest jewellery and watch brands.
“This highly-anticipated event will feature exclusive collections from leading jewellery and watch brands such as Bahrain Jewellery Centre, Asia Jewellers, Patek Philippe, Chopard, Cartier, Audemars Piguet, Boucheron, Tiffany and Co and much more,” revealed organisers Informa Markets yesterday.
“Glamorous highlights and packed exhibitor line-ups lay the foundations for Jewellery Arabia’s 30th anniversary celebration.
“This edition also welcomes more than 40 new brands, including Lustro, Nsouli Jewellery, Kismet by Milka, Chaumet and Sandy Tabet Jewellery.”
According to the organisers, the pearl anniversary edition of the event boasts a wide array of exciting features and pavilions, including a fashion show at the Spotlight where dazzling pieces and exquisite jewels will be on display, while District 30 will showcase the talent and creativity of Bahrain’s top artists – both features will be held at the location’s Promenade.
Meanwhile, the ‘Rising Stars’ pavilion will shed a spotlight on young designers and growing jewellery brands in the Plaza.
The Bahrain Institute for Pearls and Gemstones (Danat) will also take part in the much-awaited expo which was first launched in 1992 and it will include a variety of activities, experiences and pearl exhibitors.
Traditional diving equipment and tools used will also be showcased as well as the different types, shapes and sizes of natural pearls while visitors can experience oyster shucking, the process of opening the shell to reveal the delicate meat inside.
Francesca Cartier Brickell, a direct descendant of the Cartier family, will be hosting a talk and signing of her latest book, The Cartiers: Untold Story of the Family Behind the Jewellery Empire.
The talk will be held at the Pearl Discovery Zone, located in the Promenade, along with the book signing at Danat’s booth located in The Plaza.
