TANKERS were deployed yesterday to clear waterlogged neighbourhoods in the Capital Governorate.
The move by the Capital Trustees Authority comes after several parts of the country experienced moderate or heavy rainfall over the past two days.
Municipal teams were present on site to help in the drainage process.
People in affected areas have been urged to contact the general hotline 80008188.
The GDN reported earlier this week that a team of men and equipment are on stand-by to tackle any issues caused by heavy rains in Bahrain.
The Works Ministry and the Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Ministry have already assigned more than 200 workers to deal with any emergency or waterlogging.
Also provided are around 100 pumps and power generators across the four governorates to ensure any deluge doesn’t become a dampening disaster.
