OFFICIALS have been directed to further strengthen the infrastructure to ensure the quality and sustainability of solutions in accordance with the aspirations of Bahrain’s citizens.
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, issued the directives as he visited a number of areas to review the development of drainage networks and other solutions to tackle flooding during rains.
He affirmed that the advancement of various sectors continues to be Team Bahrain’s top priority, in line with Bahrain’s comprehensive development, led by His Majesty King Hamad.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister highlighted the development of rainwater drainage networks across the kingdom’s governorates, and expressed his thanks and appreciation for the tangible results achieved.
Bahrain had witnessed heavy rains during the weekend, with officials deploying tankers to clear waterlogged neighbourhoods. Civil defence personnel and community police worked round-the-clock to streamline traffic on highways.
HRH Prince Salman visited the Al Louzy area yesterday and thanked emergency response teams and the relevant authorities for their tireless efforts in service of citizens.
He said that further improving the efficiency of government services for Bahraini citizens is an ongoing process, adding that the kingdom strives for excellence in development.
HRH Prince Salman emphasised the importance of completing infrastructure projects and developing sustainable solutions for rainwater drainage, in line with the best practices.
He noted that Bahrain’s success in transforming challenges into opportunities has been the basis of its progress, and remains a strong motivation driving the development goals.
