Hundreds of Londoners stripped down to their underwear for the 12th annual ‘No Trousers Tube Ride’ - the first since the Covid-19 pandemic - organised by the Stiff Upper Lip Society.
The stunt started in New York in 2002 as the No Pants Subway Ride and has come to be an annual global event observed just for fun in dozens of countries.
The idea is to ride the train in the middle of the winter wearing just underwear, shoes and socks on your bottom half and pretend it’s like any other day while still wearing the usual winter clothing on the top half, reported Times Now.
Pictures show partially-disrobed people across London tube stations taking escalators, using ticket machines and boarding the Underground for the No Trousers Day as startled commuters looked on in bewilderment.
