‘Proud of national cadres’
She was so rude. Said her looks and her degree made her too good to be a cashier. Rude. This is the problem when people always want to start at the top. Hopefully one day she’ll be in the position where she has to work to survive.

There is never any shame in honest hard work.

Shot at stardom for Bahrain’s dugongs
They are a dying species and will be killed if we keep reclaiming land.

Usual New Year bounce missing say gym owners
I quit gym when I stopped paying for house cleaning and took over the job. Now my biceps grow from wiping my balcony doors!
@ dentist_bisher
True, but people have other options like running or walking which is absolutely free of cost. Now in Bahrain you can see in every neighbourhood world class walkways, built to keep the general population healthy. Unfortunately, most of us are lazy, really don’t care about our own health and like to eat Samboosa and other greasy foods.
@ muhammedjamshid
Prices are very high for gyms and a lot of taxes are being added, which is not fair. Bring it back to normal as people want to lead a healthy lifestyle, but some cannot due to high cost of paying.
@ staylean_and_strong_withme
Gyms in Bahrain are so expensive. In the US, UK, and other European countries you can get gym membership with all facilities for BD10 a month
@ captain.bh
Tax, cost of living etc have gone up but salary scale remains the same.

Stop the online crap and get out! Use cash and stop using card payments
@ mojovirgo
What a plan. We need more malls. We just don’t have enough malls yet. We need at least one mall per 1,000 household.
@snap0grapher
Bahrain should invest in projects that could be an attraction for tourists, only constructing malls will be of no use in future, tourism is lacking in the kingdom.
@ummnayef7812
Spend on construction of new hospitals.
@rosesmiles4all
More money down the drain... great!

More shopping
@amwaj_tala_property_anastasia
To encourage unhealthy habits? Seriously?
@mrsfulad
We are killing this country if we do this. Do not open tobacco factories.
@sarasoraroxas
I don’t understand why people are going gaga over this news. Listen, it doesn’t matter for those who don’t want to smoke, whether Bahrain is manufacturing it or not. Those who want to smoke will buy it anyway.
@tiara_1_a
Take a look at New Zealand that is working to stop the sale of tobacco completely. Shouldn’t the health of the population take precedence over investors of products that are going to just increase the already increasing cancer rates?
@healthylivingbh
Ban all smoking products!!!

Three jailed for forcing ‘holiday from hell’ bride into vice trade
Oh my god! But why just only 10 years punishment? Its unfair.
- Nyla Naduma
They should have been put behind bars for life... They will come out and do the same.
- Ashar Hasan
Justice served. Just hoping jail sentence is for 20 years.
- Lorily Nacario Agustin
10 years jail? Judges handing out these light sentences to men who abuse women might want to take a minute and wonder how they would feel if their mothers, wives or daughter were subjected to that abuse. They would then think about a suitable punishment because I promise 10 years would not seem nearly enough.

Cruel world. How can someone sell his privacy, his dignity, his pride to strangers for some pieces of papers?
