A new project will be implemented in the coming months under which pharmaceutical products information will now bear QR codes for patients to scan using their mobile.
The National Health Regulatory Authority today announced that the project will cover different drugs with the packaging displaying the QR codes.
The QR codes on the packages will ensure product authentication and be more transparent about the manufacturing process, expiry date and the content of the drugs.
The NHRA added that patients or health care professionals can scan the packaging to get all information.
