Following technical issues that resulted in the delay of the show 'Love is Blind' from streaming live, Netflix has apologised.
Presented by Vanessa and Nick Lachey, the show was scheduled to stream from Los Angeles, US, at 5pm (1am BST).
Subscribers of Netflix had joined a waiting room about 10 minutes prior to the starting time of the show, and among these were people who were still there an hour later.
Around 6.16pm PT, the show began to air; however, some users still complained of delays.
"To everyone who stayed up late, woke up early, gave up their Sunday afternoon… we are incredibly sorry that the Love is Blind Live Reunion did not turn out as we had planned. We're filming it now and we'll have it on Netflix as soon as humanly possible. Again, thank you and sorry," Netflix said in a tweet.
The delay in the live-streaming of the show lead to many viewers post about it online.
One user joked, "I'm ready... NOW GET THE STREAM TO WORK!!!."
"I hate you so much right now," said another social media user.
Another angry subscriber wrote, " Y'all better go back tp shipping out DVDs, that was more than your speed."
Although it remains unclear when and how, Netflix had promised to have questions of their subscribers- related to the delay- answered by some of the cast.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez joked in a tweet, "Someone call Lucia the seamstress to fix this. I believe in her."
The reality show- created by Chris Coelen and produced by Kinetic Content- first premiered on Netflix in 2020, and it has recently hit its fourth season this year.
